The company was founded in 2003 and operates worldwide.

The products are used in so-called "tribological systems", e.g. gears, bearings and combustion engines of all kinds. They can be used in almost all sectors, with key target groups including the wind power, mining, cement, shipping, CHP/power plant, general industry and automotive sectors.

A physical-chemical reaction of the active ingredients in the so-called mixed friction area reduces roughness, optimises friction and passivates the metal surfaces, which ultimately leads to less wear in the unit, better energy efficiency and optimised service life (more details in the "Technology" section below).

PowerShot® is the product for combustion engines, DuraGear® is for use in industrial gearboxes, G5 is for car gearboxes, the GR400 greases are designed for applications in bearings, PowerSpray is an all-purpose spray for household use and KettenSpray is used for two-wheelers and chain conveyors.

In the technical sense of the word, yes, but unlike all other classic additives, they do not change the lubricant properties, but merely use the oil or grease as a "means of transport" to bring the active components into the mixed friction area at the so-called hotspots of the metal surfaces, where they then react. Our self-image is therefore: REWITEC® products are additives that repair and refine the metal surfaces

Thanks to their repair and surface optimisation, our products work particularly well on older units that are already under stress, and can repair or freeze (within physical limits) damage progression and any grey staining that occurs. However, it also makes sense to use them on new and young systems, as the effect is preventative and contributes significantly to extending service life and increasing efficiency.

Technical application consultations, condition assessments of systems, application of products on site, surface documentation using micro-imprints with subsequent microscopic-visual evaluation (before/after comparisons).

There are a large number of dealers and sales representatives worldwide, each operating in their own regions and target industries. The consumer products are available in our online shop. Further information on sources of supply can be found on our website www.rewitec.com in the "Contact" section.

Over the years, we have been able to supply a very large number of satisfied customers across a wide range of industries and target groups. From small and medium-sized companies to global corporations. You can find a selection of these on our website www.rewitec.com under the heading "References".

For many years now, we have also had our products scientifically examined and subjected to neutral, tough load tests, including at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (Tribology Competence Centre) and the University of Giessen (Chair of Nanotribology). We regularly publish the results of these tests in our company documentation and on our website www.rewitec.com.

We offer the statutory warranty on our products. Our company has had product liability insurance with R+V since 2004, but this has never been utilised.

Tribology (Greek: theory of friction) deals with the scientific description of friction, wear and lubrication as well as the development of technologies for the optimisation of friction processes, also known as "interacting surfaces in relative motion" or "tribological system". [Source: Wikipedia]

Yes, we are on Facebook (www.facebook.com/RewitecGmbh) as well as on YouTube (www.youtube.com/rewitecde) and LinkedIn and look forward to your visit there!

The surface repair and smoothing of treated units primarily reduces friction in these systems, which in turn reduces the mechanical stress on components and the temperature load on the entire system. This is accompanied by an optimisation of energy efficiency and service life.

Application

The mode of action of REWITEC additives reduces the loads on the treated units, which can lead to an extended service life, optimised maintenance cycles, longer lubricant service life, lower spare parts costs and much more. Energy consumption (e.g. of drives and motors) can be reduced, which further reduces the costs for the operator. Using the example of wind turbines, improved energy efficiency can also result in a higher electricity yield and therefore higher revenues

This cannot be answered in general terms and depends on the parameters of the treated system. However, the amortisation times are surprisingly short compared to other optimisation measures and are sometimes only 1-3 months!

As early as 2007, scientific studies at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences showed that fuel savings of up to 10.4 1TP3 tonnes (according to NEDC) can be achieved. Practical tests on passenger cars, commercial vehicles and marine engines are usually around 47 %. Emissions were even reduced by up to 63 % in the test!

Technology

They significantly reduce the friction of treated assemblies (primarily through surface smoothing and passivation) and thus simultaneously ensure noticeably less wear and lower system temperatures, thereby extending their service life.

Many users have noticed a noticeable to significant drop in temperature after using our active ingredients, although this naturally varies due to different system and application parameters. Scientific studies at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences showed a reduction in oil temperature of 20%.

Yes, to a certain extent (within the limits of physical possibilities), existing micro-damage can even be "repaired".

Ideally, treatment with our products should be carried out in relatively fresh oils and with new, suitable oil filters, preferably not shortly before a planned oil change. However, it is not absolutely necessary to change the oil before using our products; this depends on the condition of the oil.

The surface hardness of treated materials is increased by treatment with REWITEC® does not change, but retains its original values.

We recommend carrying out a follow-up treatment every 24-36 months after the basic treatment of a system. Depending on the previous damage, this can then be carried out with a lower dosage of active ingredient.

As a rule, yes, because CMS primarily records acoustic (harmful) frequencies generated by pre-damaged components. If these are minimised through the use of REWITEC®-products, the noise and vibrations usually decrease and can be verified in the CMS logs. We have been working closely with well-known CMS providers in this area for many years.

No, because REWITEC® products only work on metal surfaces (e.g. steel, iron, brass, white metals, etc.) and therefore do not affect other (sealing) materials. There are independent studies on this by the Manneheim University of Applied Sciences and the SGS Institute.

No, the physical-chemical coating process when using REWITEC® products requires certain framework conditions, in particular pressure and temperature. For this reason, the coating is preferably applied to so-called "hotspots" of the rubbing metal surfaces in the mixed friction area, but under no circumstances over a large area on all areas of a component or an assembly.

No, we are not aware of any cases where honing grooves have become clogged and caused consequential damage (such as "piston seizure"). The smoothing of the surfaces takes place at much higher pressures, such as those that occur in gearboxes and bearings. In the engine, the soft silicate particles clean the surfaces, simultaneously reducing friction and improving compression.
