Frequently asked questionsRemark: REWITEC is not an oil additive! There are many similar products available. What are the specific features of your product? The REWITEC Nanocoating is not an oil additive which changes the oil qualities and therefore has no additions with improved lubrication abilities like teflon or ceramics. The REWITEC coating concentrate builds on the rubbing metal surfaces a metal silicate layer which coats all rubbing metal parts and is able to restore worn surfaces.
What is the coating process based on?The active material of our product consits of special silicate combinations as well as catalyzers. The surface cristallization is initiated by the originating frictional energy and the grinding of the particles whereby the new metal silicate surface is generated from. How does the selfregulation of the process work? The frictional energy is used in the construction of the metal silicate the layer. This forms after some running hours. After the metal silicate layer is built up, the frictional necessary for the process reduces. Therefore the process automatically ends.
The product is based on solids. Is it possible that blockages in the oil filter or blockages in the oil ducts could occur?Due to the fact that only a small quantity of the coating concentrate is used, It it not possible that any disopals or blockages can form in the oil filter or in the oil ducts. In case of heavy coking of the engine, the particles will be detached. We therefore recommend you to check the oil after the first treatment. If necessary, change the oil before starting the second treatment.
How large are the particles in the product? The particle size is about 1 and 20 µ m. Common oil filters let pass particles up to approx. 25 µm. Does the product cause any malfunction to the hydraulic tappets? These delicate high precision parts will not be damaged. On the contrary. They will be coated with metal silicate which optimizes their tolerances and protect them from new wear. Is the REWITEC coating concentrate compatible to all current mineral and synthetic oils?Yes, REWITEC coating concentrate is compatible to all kinds of mineral and synthetic oils. Does REWITEC coating concentrate change the oil viscosity? No, REWITEC coating concentrate does not generate any changes concerning the oil viscosity. The oil is only used as a carrier material. Modern engine oils contain manufacturer specific additives. Is it possible that these additives will precipitate in combination with REWITEC Nanocoating? No, because REWITEC Nanocoating is not based on modifying the properties of the lubricant but on modifying the surface structure of rubbing metal. The Nanocoating particles will not remain in the engine oil but completely react to form a smooth and protective layer on the surface. How many packages are required for a complete engine treatment? For a complete treatment 2 packages are required. If the engine is worn out very strongly, three packages are required. Is a single application sufficient for treatment of a new engine? No - whether new engines or old engines, at least two applications are required for the complete coating process. In the near future I have to change the engine oil of my car. Does it make sense to carry out the REWITEC treatment BEFORE the oil change, or should I change the engine oil first of all?In this case we recommend to carry out the first REWITEC treatment with the old oil. Drive the vehicle for approx. 300 km. Afterwards change the engine oil and proceed with the second REWITEC treatment. The engine displacement of my car amounts to 5 litres. Which product is suitable in this case? Please carry out a treatment with 2x M2 or 2x M3. Add the content of each 1 tube of M2 together with the content of each 1 tube of M3 in 1 bottle with mixing oil and proceed according to the user guide.
The cylinder surfaces are manufactured with a Honing. Does REWITEC coating concentrate fill up the Honing pattern designed to retain the oil? What are the consequences? This so called Honings keep the oil on the surface of the cylinders in order to provide a protective film. Only the smallest Honriefen will be filled up by REWITEC coating concentrate, but not the deeper Honriefen. REWITEC coating concentrate provides strong hygroscopic properties keeping the oil on the surface and is more effective than the Honing.
Is REWITEC also suitable for a TDI with pump nozzle technology?Yes, absolutely. The pump nozzle technology is especially susceptible by the raised demand of the engine. Just for this problem the application of the REWITEC coating concentrate is ideal. Please take a look at the application reports of our satisfied customers. How does the product work with engines with exhaust gas turbocharger? The bearings of turbochargers are also coated and thereby have a longer life span. There are no negative effects known! The oil consumption of the engine amounts to approx. 1 litre per 500 km, the engine is worn out. Can a treatment with REWITEC improve the condition of the engine? Otherwise a replacement or an overhauling of the engine is required.A treatment with REWITEC could reduce the oil consumption, unless the piston rings are damaged. Depending on the abrasion a third treatment may be useful. Can I also apply REWITEC on motorcycles with wet clutches, or will the treatment with REWITEC cause clutch slippage? No, the REWITEC treatment will not cause clutch slippage, because the metal silicate coating only reacts on grinding metal surfaces but not on the clutch. A differential gearbox produces noises. Can REWITEC Nanocoating reduce these noises?REWITEC Nanocoating is able to rebuild parts, which are not mechanically destroyed. If your differential gearbox produces strong noises please check first of all, if there are any mechanical damages. If this is not the case you can proceed with the REWITEC treatment. |
